Bayulu is an Aboriginal community in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, located 10 km south of Fitzroy Crossing within the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley.

History

Bayulu is one of the oldest and most established communities situated on the western periphery of Gooniyandi country. The community has a strong influence of mostly Gooniyandi and Walmajarri speakers. From Bayulu, smaller communities have emerged.

Located 10 km south of Fitzroy Crossing within the Shire of Derby-West Kimberley, Bayulu is a large Aboriginal community. Originally established as part of Gogo Station, it was relocated to its current position in 1987.

Bayulu Community School, located on Gogo Station, is attended by school-age children of Bayulu. The school caters to 125 students, and their first language is Kriol, with some Gooniyandi and Walmajarri being spoken. Standard Australian English is the children's second language.
